This tenugui depicts a resting Mameshiba (豆柴) —a particularly small breed of Shiba Inu—in front of a traditional Japanese house in summer. A kakigōri character (氷) on a flag suggests refreshing coolness, while green maple leaves (青もみじ) hang from the roof, casting shadows over the scene. Gentle gusts of wind stir the fūrin (風鈴, wind chimes) , adding to the relaxing atmosphere.

The cloth is manufactured by the traditional family business HAMAMONYO in Yokohama – a specialist in the Yokohama wet dyeing technique with over 75 years of experience. The cotton fabric used is chlorine-free bleached, soft, skin-friendly, and specially developed for tenugui production.
