What is a tenugui?

The tenugui (pronounced: te-nu-gui ) is the classic Japanese cloth for everything. A light, robust cloth made of the finest cotton, dyed using the traditional wet dyeing technique.

Why you'll love it:

  • Versatile: wall decoration, table runner, headband or scarf.
  • Hygienic: Thanks to the open woven edge, it dries extremely quickly – bacteria have no chance.
  • Long-lasting: The colors penetrate deep into the fiber. The fabric does not age; it develops character.
