It is manufactured by the family-run company HAMAMONYO in Yokohama – a manufacturer with over 75 years of experience in the artful wet-dyeing technique (Yokohama Nassen). The motif is hand-printed on a specially developed, chlorine-free bleached cotton fabric. The result is a finely crafted, lightweight cloth with a soft feel and high utility value.

It features stylized waves (波) in various shades of blue that stretch across the entire cloth—powerful, rhythmic, yet harmonious. The structure of the pattern is reminiscent of classic Japanese prints, yet the design appears modern and timeless.
