Tenugui “Yokohama Mizutama” – HAMAMONYO, 100% cotton, made in Japan
Tenugui “Yokohama Mizutama” – Japanese cotton cloth
Cityscape in dots – a homage to Yokohama
This original tenugui is from HAMAMONYO in Yokohama, a family business with over 75 years of experience in the artful production of traditional cotton cloths. The design is printed using the classic wet printing technique (Yokohama wet printing) on a chlorine-free, specially developed cotton fabric. The cloth is pleasantly light, soft, and versatile.
The image depicts landmarks of the port city of Yokohama, embedded in circular dots: the famous Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel, the waterfront cable car , the Yokohama Marine Tower , the Red Brick Warehouse , and other city motifs. The circles appear like small peepholes into urban life, set against a calm, deep blue background.
Ideal for fans of city motifs, for anyone with a connection to Yokohama or as a decorative accent with Japanese flair in your own home.
