This tenugui brings a touch of urban evening culture into everyday life – with a wink. It comes from the traditional Yokohama-based manufacturer HAMAMONYO , which boasts over 75 years of experience in the wet-print dyeing technique (Yokohama Nassen). The motif is transferred by hand onto a chlorine-free bleached cotton fabric specially developed for tenugui production.

It depicts a stylish bar with a relaxed jazz atmosphere, populated by celebrating pandas with cocktails, beer, and cigars. In the background, a panda plays the piano while others chat or toast on bar stools. The humorous scene combines Japanese design with a modern, international flair.

Whether as a wall decoration, gift, or kitchen towel, this tenugui brings character to any room and brings a smile to anyone's face. It's lightweight, absorbent, dries quickly, and is versatile.

The motif was awarded the OMOTENASHI Selection Gold Award in 2022 – a recognition for excellent design, craftsmanship and the idea of Japanese hospitality.

• Do not use fabric softener
• Air drying recommended
• The raw edges may fray slightly during washing—this is typical of tenugui and not a defect. Excess threads can easily be trimmed with scissors.
