Welcome to our "Tenugui of the Week"! This time we're bringing the Japanese spring directly into your home – with a motif that radiates color and vibrancy.

Cherry blossom splendor amidst fresh spring greenery. This cheerful and colorful tenugui is called Sakura Shinryoku , which translates to "cherry blossom and fresh greenery." The design depicts an idyllic scene from a classic Japanese garden: An elegant geisha (geiko) in a traditional kimono stands beneath a dense sea of pink sakura (cherry blossoms), gently framed by fresh spring greenery.
Even the details in the foreground tell a story: Koi carp swim in a clear stream among water lily pads and falling flower petals. A typically Japanese red bridge connects the vibrant green of the landscape with the delicate pink of the sky. Symbolically, this beautiful design represents nature's renewal in spring and the profound harmony between humankind and the landscape.
Masterful hand-printed fabric from Yokohama . This scarf is made by our partner manufacturer HAMAMONYO in Yokohama. The brilliant, vibrant colors and the subtle, gentle color gradients – especially in the pink sky – are only possible thanks to the traditional Yokohama nassen -printing technique. In this process, the dye is applied layer by layer by hand to a specially woven, chlorine-free bleached cotton (ECO-Bleaching).
Excellent quality. That this is genuine Japanese craftsmanship is officially confirmed: The Tenugui has been awarded the prestigious OMOTENASHI Selection Gold Award – an important seal of authentic quality and outstanding design in Japan.
Versatile in everyday life Whether as a classic towel, as sustainable gift wrapping, as a colorful table runner or together with our magnetic picture strip as wall decoration – this Tenugui brings spring into every room.
