This enchanting Furoshiki carries the name フロシキクロス さくら文鳥 (Furoshiki Cross Sakura Buncho) – "Furoshiki cloth, cherry-blossom Java sparrow". The design is a loving ode to spring: on a soft pink ground, rows of bright red and white Sakura (桜) blossoms alternate with rows of cuddling Buncho (文鳥, Java sparrows) pairs, nestled head to head in white silhouettes. Between them float little hearts in red and orange, lending the scene a playful, romantic atmosphere. In Japan the Buncho is regarded as a symbol of friendship, loyalty and harmonious love – especially when shown in pairs. Combined with the Sakura as an emblem of spring's awakening, the result is a motif that radiates pure happiness.

  • Washing: Machine washing up to 40 °C is perfectly fine. For strong colors (especially red/dark blue), we recommend washing separately the first time to prevent color bleeding.
  • Drying: Air dry is best. The shantung fabric dries quickly.
  • Ironing: The characteristic texture of the shantung fabric is best preserved if the cloth is shaken out after washing and air-dried. If necessary, iron on a low to medium heat setting.
  • Note: Do not use bleach to protect color brilliance.
