This vibrant Furoshiki carries the name 大布 桜もよう (Ōfu Sakura Moyō) – "large cloth, cherry-blossom pattern". The design plays with a refined colour contrast: a diagonal line divides the surface into two shades of pink – soft powder pink on one side, bold berry red on the other. Across it dance countless stylised Sakura (桜) blossoms in white and delicate pinks, as if carried on a spring breeze. The cherry blossom is Japan's most significant symbol and stands for beauty, new beginnings and the touching transience of life (mono no aware). The diagonal composition lends the motif dynamism and movement – ideal for anyone who loves the Japanese spring and would like to carry it with them in an expressive design.

  • Washing: Machine wash up to 40 °C is easily possible. For strong colors (especially red/dark blue), we recommend washing separately for the first wash to avoid color bleeding.
  • Drying: Air dry is best. The shantung fabric dries quickly.
  • Ironing: The characteristic structure of the shantung fabric is best preserved if the cloth is shaken out after washing and air-dried. If necessary, smooth with an iron on a low to medium setting.
  • Note: Do not use bleach to protect color brilliance.
