Poetic depiction of nature in classic Japanese colors
This intricately crafted furoshiki is entitled桜にうぐいす (Sakura ni Uguisu) – “Cherry Blossom and Silken Warbler.” The design captures a moment of tranquility and grace: a small uguisu (Japanese silken warbler) perches on a branch of blooming cherry blossoms ( sakura ) against a large, bright full moon. The elegant color gradient, from a vibrant pinkish-red at the top to a deep violet at the bottom, lends the scene a special depth and atmospheric richness.
Your advantages at a glance:- Suitable size for many uses: Ideal for bento boxes , small gifts or as a decorative cloth for everyday use.
- Grippy fabric: The cotton shantung is grippy, knots reliably and gives the cloth a high-quality structure.
- Reusable instead of disposable: A furoshiki can be reused again and again, combining aesthetics with sustainable packaging.
Made by HAMAMONYO in Japan. The combination of high-quality fabric, careful workmanship, and detailed design makes this furoshiki a long-lasting companion.

- Ironing: The characteristic structure of the shantung fabric is best preserved if the cloth is shaken out after washing and air-dried. If necessary, smooth with an iron on a low to medium setting.
- Note: Do not use bleach to protect color brilliance.
