This charming little cloth bears the name てぬぐいのはんかち さくら文鳥 (Tenugui no Hankachi Sakura Buncho) – meaning something like "Tenugui handkerchief: cherry-blossom Java sparrow". The design radiates pure spring feeling: against a soft pink background, white cherry blossoms (Sakura) and little hearts are scattered, between which two adorable Java sparrows (buncho) nestle lovingly together.

Care and instructions

  • Wash:Machine washing up to 40°C is perfectly fine. For bright colors (especially red/dark blue), we recommend washing separately for the first wash to prevent color bleeding.
  • Dry:Air drying is best.
  • Iron:To make the cloth nice and smooth for wrapping again, it can be ironed on a hot setting (cotton).
  • A notice:Do not use bleach to protect the color brilliance.
