Autumn splendor with Mount Fuji and Pagoda
This tenugui features a beautiful autumnal scene with vibrant maple leaves, a pagoda, and Mount Fuji in the background. It is produced by the long-established family business HAMAMONYO in Yokohama – experts in the Yokohama wet dyeing technique with over 75 years of experience. The cotton fabric used is chlorine-free bleached, soft, skin-friendly, and was specially developed for tenugui production.
In the foreground , red and yellow maple leaves glow. The five-story pagoda rises proudly before the gentle profile of Mount Fuji, while cranes glide through the purple sky. A composition of depth, tranquility, and Japanese aesthetics.
Whether as a towel, gift wrapping (Furoshiki), headband, table runner or decoration: This Tenugui is versatile, easy to care for and a piece of high-quality Japanese craftsmanship.
The design was awarded the “Gold Award” of the OMOTENASHI Selection in 2022 – a recognition of Japanese hospitality, craftsmanship and design.
