This colorful tenugui comes from the traditional company HAMAMONYO in Yokohama. For over 75 years, they have been meticulously handcrafting using the traditional wet-printing technique (Yokohama Nassen). The print is applied to a specially developed, chlorine-free bleached cotton fabric, which is characterized by its soft feel and high suitability for everyday wear.
The design features a selection of Japanese Omatcha Gashi (sweet tea treats), including wagashi, rolled cakes, tarts, and small chocolates made with green tea. A small panda appears among them as a sweet highlight. The vibrant green color scheme is reminiscent of matcha powder and instantly brings the atmosphere of a Japanese teahouse into everyday life.
This tenugui is suitable as a gift for tea lovers, as a kitchen towel, table decoration or for packaging small gifts.
