A wink between rice balls and panda charm
This humorous tenugui comes from HAMAMONYO , a long-established family business from Yokohama. For over 75 years, they have been handcrafting high-quality cotton scarves, printed using the traditional wet-printing technique (Yokohama Nassen). The cotton fabric used is chlorine-free bleached, soft, pleasant against the skin, and specially developed for tenugui production.
The design features a regular arrangement of onigiri (rice balls) in various styles, complemented by friendly-looking panda faces. The beige background makes the white rice balls stand out clearly, creating a calm yet playful overall impression. It's a motif that is both typically Japanese and subtly ironic.
Whether used as wall decoration in the kitchen, as gift wrapping or as an everyday helper – this Tenugui brings a smile to any environment while remaining stylishly understated.
