This exquisite tenugui is called七宝桜 (Shippo Sakura) – “Cloisonné Cherry Blossom”. It showcases an artful fusion of the classic Shippo (七宝) pattern with the delicate beauty of the Japanese cherry blossom in a deep, violet color palette.

The design is characterized by the harmonious arrangement of overlapping circles, at the center of which white and pink sakura blossoms bloom. The combination of the geometric rigor of the "seven treasures" and the fleeting delicacy of the spring flowers lends the scarf a timeless, high-quality appeal. The deep purple base color makes the floral motifs appear almost like jewels on the fabric, creating an atmosphere of serene elegance.

The design comes from HAMAMONYO , a long-established textile manufacturer from Yokohama. Thanks to the Yokohama wet printing technique, the colors appear particularly vibrant and clear, even in subtle color gradients.
