This amusing little towel is calledととのいちゅうサウナパンダ (Totonoichu Sauna Panda) – which means something like "Sauna Panda Relaxing". The term totonou describes, in Japanese sauna culture, the state of complete relaxation and bliss that these little pandas are clearly enjoying.

The design depicts pandas in various typical sauna scenes: wearing yellow sauna hats, during a sauna infusion, or relaxing in a hot tub. As part of our Wa-taoru series, this towel offers a functional advantage over the classic tenugui: the front, made of smoothly woven cotton, allows the playful details to shine brilliantly, while the soft terry cloth back ensures excellent absorbency. This makes it the ideal companion for your next spa visit, the gym, or your daily refreshment.

The design comes from HAMAMONYO in Yokohama. Thanks to the traditional Yokohama wet printing technique, the colors are particularly long-lasting and the contours of the pandas and their sauna accessories remain razor-sharp, giving the towel a particularly high-quality feel.
